On the 9th May we held an Adoreum Club breakfast with Paul Kempe at Home House.
Paul shared his story of growing Tileyard Studios from a 10 man team into an established brand and business managing a number of established artists including Ella Eyre and Sigala. Paul was a fantastic speaker and his passion for community and collaborative working is evident in his success story.
Paul Kempe qualified as a lawyer before founding City and Provincial Properties Plc in 1984 which undertakes a variety of developments including residential & commercial developments as well as strategic land and complex site assemblies. CPP also owns and manages Tileyard Studios.
Tileyard studios is located close to Kings Cross and is the largest music-centric creative hub in Europe. It is home to over 75 bespoke music studios and writing rooms along with event space, café/bar, Gym/Wellness centre and accommodates a variety of artists, bands, producers, songwriters including Mark Ronson, Basement Jaxx, Chase & Status, Nottinghill Music and Sound Advice. Tileyard Studios also provide a variety of office space for creatives. Paul is also an investor in Tileyard Music which promotes and manages established and new artists including Ella Eyre, Sigala and Tiggs da Author together with its own roster of writers.
Paul is also a serial investor in a variety of start-up companies including Spitfire, Soundvault and Gearbox Records and owner of Balearics Sotheby’s International Realty which focuses on the sale of high-end residential homes.
