Adoreum Thought Leadership Breakfast with Medical Detection Dogs

0-2

On Wednesday the 18th September we hosted our Adoreum Thought Leadership Breakfast hosted at Home Grown with our incredible speaker, Dr Claire Guest.

Dr Claire Guest BSc(Hons) MSc DHP HonDSc and Betsy Duncan Smith from Medical Detection Dogs joined us to share the exceptional breakthrough work their charity is doing with Bio-Detection and Medical Alert Assistance Dogs to save lives. The ‘wet nosed knights in shining armour’ are either trained to find the odour of diseases such as cancer in samples or to detect minute changes in an individual’s personal odour triggered by their disease such as diabetes. The work Dr Claire and the team at Medical Detection Dogs are doing is truly phenomenal and we were lucky enough to be joined by two dogs in training Joby and Flame.

Thank you very much to the team at Home Grown for hosting us so effortlessly and serving such a delicious breakfast.

It’s unbelievable to think that “dogs saving lives” and just how accurate they are in doing so. Should you wish to find out more about how can you donate or get involved in Medical Detection Dogs then please do get in touch.
