AN AUDIENCE WITH GUERLAIN MASTER PERFUMER, THIERRY WASSER

On Tuesday 23rd November, Adoreum (via our consultancy division) was privileged to partner with Guerlain. The very definition of our name as the ‘Chemistry of Connection’ demonstrates our understanding of the great results achieved from bringing together the right raw ingredients. For us this is people.

With the L’Art and La Matiere Haute Parfumerie, Guerlain set out to create their boldest collection yet. Each creation an exquisite homage to the finest raw materials in perfumery. Every one of the seventeen fragrances is born from an artistic emotion, inspired by the world of fine art, music and sculpture. Bottles boast an eco-design and recycled glass that is re-fillable at point of sale. Personalisation is also available with a choice cord colour, various seal designs and name engraving. To showcase their collection, last Saturday, Guerlain opened a pop up in Covent Garden.

Guests were invited to discover the power of scent as renowned neuroscientist Sophie Scott explored one of most impactful senses with Thierry.

In keeping with Guerlain’s artisan philosophy we sought small and local suppliers who work to craft raw materials into art and share our artistic emotion.

With this mind, we chose @weareunitx in Hanover Square as our location.

Food was beautifully crafted by @zaraskitchenuk who presented plates ‘almost’ too good to eat.

Our floristry, the award winning @allforlovelondon took inspiration from the fragrance raw ingredients sourcing a cascade of breath-taking roses centring the table and adding accent to each name sat alongside a personally engraved Guerlain lipstick.

Further extravagance was added by @candle_flair with their black lux swirl candles adding contrast to the soft florals alongside elegant place cards written by hand in calligraphy courtesy of @embellishingtheordinary and elegant menus provided by @leemingbrothers

It was the perfect evening crafted with a combination of good company and beautiful surroundings that you could argue never happened unless it made Instagram via the signature photography of the ever-charismatic @eva.espresso.
