On Wednesday 11th August, we hosted an Upskills Session ran by award-winning non-for profit organisation, Debate Mate, on communication in the corporate world.
Throughout the last year, Debate Mate have been hosting a series of virtual Corporate Communication Masterclasses for business leaders with the aim to improve communication, confidence and leadership skills working with the likes of Deloitte, Snapchat, Jaguar Land Rover, BCG and now Adoreum.
Debate Mate is a global social business that teaches key skills from the classroom to the boardroom. For this session they focused on challenging us to think about our own methods of communication within the workplace – where our strengths lie, but also what we could work on.
The wonderful Georgia, Rohan and Oyin from the Debate Mate team provided specific tips and tricks on how to improve our communication, followed by tried and tested structures to utilise in the future including the PEEL technique.
