South Kensington Club opens its bathhouse

The South Kensington Club is delighted to announce the opening of its bathhouse, situated in the West wing of the club, which was Francis Bacon’s first London home and studio.

Retaining its original atelier style and sense of artistry, the space is now home to an extraordinary bathhouse, where members can take a dip in the saltwater Watsu pool, or enjoy a moment of calm in the banya and hammam. The bathhouse offers a warm environment where members can seek welcome respite from their hectic metropolitan lives.

Private banya suites are available for those who prefer to banya privately – they come complete with their own banshie (banya therapist), treatment room, plunge pool and private balcony.

The bathhouse completes the overall SKC experience where members and friends are already enjoying the fitness facilities, sitting rooms, beauty & barber services, a Mediterranean restaurant, treatment rooms and a calendar of talks and events on exploration, art and travel, as well as access to several reciprocal clubs around the world.
